Alleluia and thanks be to God. It appears St. George's and its people have escaped serious injury and property damage.The church staff is busy cleaning up tree limbs and unpacking boxes to return the church to a normal state of operation.
Services will be held this Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 am. Come as you are. It will be a very casual Eucharist.
The Dragon Cafe was open this week. On Wednesday, we served 170 people including National Guard troops, police officers,and our regular Dragon Cafe guests.
However, we are very mindful that other communities were hit very hard by Hurricane Gustav. We urge everyone to go to The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana or Episcopal Relief and Development for more information on how you can provide assistance.
